The 2026 JAC Supplier Engagement Programme recognizes Valid with the “Committed to Climate” distinction for significant improvement in greenhouse gas emissions management maturity
Madrid, Spain – October 15, 2026 – Valid, a global provider of trusted connectivity solutions, has been recognized by the Joint Alliance for CSR (JAC) as part of its 2026 Supplier Engagement Programme (SEP), receiving the Committed to Climate recognition for significant improvement in its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions management maturity and performance.
The recognition reflects Valid’s continued efforts to strengthen its sustainability practices and contribute to the decarbonization of the ICT supply chain.
The JAC Supplier Engagement Programme is a collaborative engagement programme aimed at assessing and improving the maturity of the ICT supply chain in managing greenhouse gas emissions. Suppliers are assessed through the JAC SEP Maturity Model across four areas: Strategy; Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV); Emissions Reduction; and Communication and Engagement.
The Committed to Climate recognition is awarded to suppliers that have significantly improved their overall maturity compared with the previous year, specifically by progressing two maturity levels from levels 0–2 or advancing from level 3 to level 4. Valid’s official recognition certificate acknowledges significant improvement in GHG emissions management maturity and performance within the JAC Supplier Engagement Programme.

Valid’s progress has also been supported by its ongoing engagement with customers and industry stakeholders on responsible supply chain and sustainability initiatives.
As part of this journey, Valid has worked closely with Telefónica on responsible supply chain initiatives, including its participation and continued improvement within the JAC Supplier Engagement Programme. This engagement has helped reinforce the importance of measurement, transparency and continuous improvement as Valid advances its sustainability strategy.
“This recognition is an important milestone in our sustainability journey and, above all, an acknowledgement of the measurable progress our teams have made in recent years. Sustainability across the ICT supply chain requires collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement, and our engagement with customers such as Telefónica and industry initiatives such as JAC has been an important part of that journey. We are proud of the progress recognized today and remain committed to continuing to raise the bar.” Alfonso Crespo, VP of Global Operations, Valid
The recognition will be formally presented at the JAC Supplier Forum in Zurich on October 15, 2026, bringing together JAC members and supplier partners to exchange perspectives on the future of responsible and sustainable ICT supply chains.
Through the recognition, JAC acknowledges Valid’s commitment and action in supporting the decarbonization of the ICT supply chain and advancing efforts to tackle climate change, consistent with the wording provided in JAC’s official supplier communications package.
Valid will continue working across its operations, supply chain and customer ecosystem to advance its sustainability practices and contribute to broader industry efforts toward a more responsible ICT value chain.

With a global presence, Valid works with customers and partners worldwide to enable more secure, connected and trusted digital experiences.
In order to make a significant difference and bring a real benefit to our environment and planet, Valid decided to create, together with Plastic Bank, an environmental compensation program.
Plastic Bank is a social enterprise empowering a regenerative society. They build ethical recycling ecosystems in coastal communities and reprocess the materials for reintroduction into the global supply chain as Social PlasticTM.
Their collectors receive a compensation for the materials they collect which helps them to provide basic family necessities such as groceries, cooking fuel, school tuition, and health insurance.
Their certified blockchain platform secures the entire transaction and provides real-time data visualization – allowing for transparency, traceability, and rapid scalability.
With this goal, Plastic Bank is relying on companies like Valid to support the collection process of the plastic in order to:
Mitigate the impact of many corporations and potentially reduce, offset or decrease the plastic footprint of their operations.
Improve the social and economic situations in different regions of the world by creating job opportunities through plastic waste collection.
Supports environmental stewardship and circular economy.
